When Amina spent the night at her best friends. She spoke about how Ghengis used to use anything he could as a weapon against her. From keys to cigarettes, to his fists and feet.

I know a lot of people think this is a Muslim versus Jewish issue. To be perfectly honest, I myself was one of these people. However, when I’ve gone out there and done some reading, I’ve had a look at some posts from people who are more well versed on the conflict, I’ve realised this isn’t a simple Muslim versus Jewish issue. It’s not really about religion. Although there are some religious aspects.

This took place on the 7th January 2021. Amina’s friend said she spoke to another friend and explained the situation to her and felt like she wouldn’t be able to be friends with Amina any longer. Her friend supported her and confirmed she had done more than enough for her and she didn’t deserve her as a friend. So Amina’s friend sent Ghengis a message.

Amina had three options. She could either leave her husband and be with Ghengis officially or she could have her baby and pass it off as her husbands. The final option was drastic and something she struggled with internally as she had always wanted to be a mum from a young age. She could abort the child she wanted so badly even though it was conceived out of love rather than duty.

When Ghengis came out of prison he contacted Amina through one of her cousins. They met in the local Tesco car park and he wanted to resume his relationship with her, but, as she was engaged she said no. As a result he agreed to marry his PenPal who was writing to him and they quickly got married.
