I finally have a topic for my dissertation! I’m pretty glad because I was really struggling. After multiple meetings, my supervisor Tim who is also my course leader helped me. The crazy 🤪 thing is alongside my standard ethics form, I also had to fill out another form due to certain themes that will be present throughout my story! 📖 Ethics forms aren’t new to me, I’ve had to deal with them through work, back when I was writing. And, also when conducting interviews for research purposes. This other form however, was a whole new ballgame. Basically trying to make sure that my research wouldn’t get me in trouble with the law. That really would be something. I’ve been researching hard through watching stuff but I really need to start reading 📚 but I’m having one of those phases where I don’t really want to read. So I’m trying an audio book… I hate them! I’m not a Podcast person either 🤷🏽♀️ but I love music 🎶 go figure!
So I have to write 10,000 words. I’m going to start this weekend I hope. Right now, my priority is a further 1000 words for my contemporary sci-fi novel because I am applying for a scholarship. I have 2000 words so far but it needs to be 3000, plus a synopsis. So I want to get those 1000 words done and apply for the scholarship so I can fully focus on my dissertation.
I need to stop being lazy. Maybe I’ll try hypnotherapy 🤷🏽♀️
