So for the past week… I have been decluttering and cleaning… wait for it… my bedroom. Now, I have to be honest. It was a complete tip. For two reasons. I’m a bit of a hoarder… and crappy mental health as well as non visible physical impairments make it hard for me.
Now although this post isnβt about cleaning up π§Ή (I actually hate it) so I hired a ‘cleaner!’ I ended up having a very negative experience with her because although I showed her the room prior and warned her. She advised 3 to 4 hours to sort out, ended up taking 6 hours and barely got anything done because she was… to put it bluntly… absolutely crap. I paid for her time, posted a negative review and took a LOT of heat for it until I posted the conversation I had online. I’ve previously used professional cleaners and they were amazing. But let’s forget that, because my brother has helped me clean my room. To be fair he’s done most of it. I’ve donated LOADS to charity π clothing ππππ₯», shoesπ‘πππ π₯Ώπ’, jewellery π, makeup π books π, oh man, I could have started a damn library. Some books I refused to part with are the ones my aunty gave me as a child. The Harry Potter collection. And not because it’s Harry Potter. But because she wrote messages in them.
I also found the beginnings of the first book I ever wrote, a retelling of The Fisherman and His Wife, aswell as the first ‘Crime Novel’ I ever read ‘Operation Gadgetman’ by Malorie Blackman. I loved that book so much. The picture I uploaded is the exact cover on my version. It’s more a detective story but to be fair I haven’t read it in forever. I just remember the main character was called Beans… I think her name was Beatrice but who can remember π€·π½ββοΈ I don’t even remember average things… my memory is rubbish π but it was nice to discover that 1) I loved writing from a young age and 2) the book I fell in love with as a kid. I was also kind of surprised I managed to draw a fish on paint but genuinely struggle with ProCreate and drawing in general. I’ll try and update you more regularly from now on. I’ve been MIA for far too long!
Today I found…
