This week I’ve had tutorials with two of my lecturers and what I’ve taken from both of these is that the devil is in the details.
There are certain things I have to include to help my story progress. It’s not that my story is bad, but it could definitely be better.
I’m telling a story and I think it’s going well but because I lack details with description, whether that is facial description or location descriptions, it’s preventing a picture from being painted in the mind of the reader.
This was the biggest message I got from my tutorials and the piece of coursework it is attached to, is due next week 😱
I did most of it prior to my surgery because I know how difficult it is to type with a hand that refuses to work with you.
I really hope that I get a mark that is at least as good as my last mark but I’m secretly hoping it’s better. Even if it’s just one more mark than last time, I’ll be happy.
The amazing thing was that most of the feedback I received related to the chapters I’d already submitted and that means I’ve already been marked on it so it’s advice I can definitely use when it comes to editing my book.
I really appreciate the feedback I’ve received because one of my lecturers is award winning so she definitely knows what she’s talking about.
I want to be the kind of author who wins awards one day. I have complete faith in myself that I can do it and I have faith in my writing. And I appreciate that there’s almost always room for improvement.
