So, as a Muslim, I don’t celebrate Christmas. However, for the last few years, I have cooked a nice dinner on Christmas day. It’s because it’s the one day when I know I’ll be off for a few days and I’m actually happy to cook.
I’ve cooked a Turkey Crown… Turkey isn’t something we enjoy, but my cat Mittens loved it when I made it four years ago. Three years ago I cooked a leg of lamb but someone else prepared that and it was a very desi tandoori leg of lamb. We enjoyed it and so did Mittens. Last year I did leg of lamb again but flavoured it myself. We loved it. This year I did roast beef, I went all out for this one. I brined the beef overnight. I then made a nice marinade that I painted on. I slow cooked my beef and everyone enjoyed it. Even my nan and she rarely eats beef.
I’m starting to ramble. The point of this post was to wish you ‘Happy Holidays’ ๐๐โ๏ธโ๏ธ๐๐ and a Happy New Year.
Happy Holidays
